Phil Noto (1971 – ) grew up in Florida, attended the Ringling School of Art and Design, and initially worked in animation at Walt Disney. His film credits include work on such movies as Lion King, Pocahontas, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan, and Lilo and Stitch. After ten years at Disney, Noto left and in 2001 began drawing covers for DC’s Birds of Prey series.

Since that work, Noto has rapidly become one of comics most popular talents. His unique style invokes a vintage feel yet includes a distinctly modern edge. After Birds of Prey, Noto’s credits include a variety of genera’s with work for several different publishers including Independents as well as both Marvel and DC. Titles he has illustrated include The Infinite Horizon, X-23, Batgirl, Wolverine/Jubilee, Grendel, Danger Girl, Avengers: The Origin, Harley Quinn, Jonah Hex, GI Joe: Scarlett Declassified, Beautiful Killer, Batman/Doc Savage, and Superman/Supergirl: Maelstrom.
