Frank Miller (1957 – ) is an acclaimed artist, writer, and film director  who has written and/or drawn some of the industries most popular characters, including Daredevil, Elektra, Batman, Wolverine, and Superman to name but a few.

His groundbreaking work on The Dark Knight Returns – for which he is perhaps best known – is regarded by many fans as one of the greatest comic stories of all time and the greatest Batman story ever. It set the comics industry on an entirely new path and paved the way for the success of such characters as the Punisher and a host of other darker, more violent heroes and comics, with Miller himself continuing the trend he helped launch in his creator-owned series Sin City.

Miller’s work has won numerous awards, including six Eisner Awards, 4 Kirby Awards, 3 Harvey Awards, and the Comic-Con Icon Award. His Sin City was nominated for the 2005 Palme d’Or from the Cannes Film Festival.
