Since his debut on Green Lantern: Mosaic in 1992, artist and writer Cully Hamner went on to become one of the original members of Gaijin Studios, work for every major US comic publisher, and to see his work make it all the way to Hollywood.

Hamner redesigned Blue Beetle for DC, helped launch 12 Guage Comics (publisher of such titles as The Ride, Gun Candy, Body Bags, and O.C.T.: The Occult Crimes Taskforce), and illustrated Black Lightning: Year One (nomited for two Glyph Awards).

He is perhaps best known, however, for his work along with writer Warren Ellis on the mini series Red, which was adapted into a major motion picture starring Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren, and Karl Urban.

Other work by Hamner includs Batman: Tenses, Detective Comics, The Shade, as well as Malibu’s Firearm and Top Cow’s Down, among many other one-shots, pinups and covers.
