April 2026 Mike Zeck Signing Event

WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS FOR OUR NEXT SIGNING WITH LEGENDARY COMIC CREATOR MIKE ZECK- PLANNED FOR SOMETIME IN MID-APRIL.

SUBMISSION OPTIONS/PRICING

1 ) CGC Signature Series submission – $150 per comic book (modern tier, add $15 for pressing), $175 for magazines, and $100 per trading card (economy tier) includes:

  • Mike Zeck’s signature
  • Facilitation
  • FedEx shipping to and from the Philippines (includes customs fees/taxes/etc, and with $50 insurance per item)
  • All fees associated with CGC Signature Series grading

NOTE: Return shipping from CGC to you is billed separately once grading is complete.

2 ) Signed (Not Graded) – $100 per comic, $125 for magazine, and $70 per trading card, includes:

  • Mike Zeck’s signature
  • Facilitation
  • FedEx shipping to and from the Philippines (includes customs fees/taxes/etc, and with $50 insurance per item)

NOTE: Return shipping from us to you is billed separately once the books return to the US.

The insured value for the shipment will be capped at $2,000 total. Packages are packed securely, but in the event of loss or damage, any potential reimbursement will be limited to the amount paid by FedEx under their insurance—currently $50 per item.

By submitting items, participants agree that Vault Collectibles assumes no additional liability or financial responsibility beyond FedEx’s payout, if made. There will be no replacement, repair, or additional compensation beyond that amount.

*After the first signing, we discovered we both underestimated shipping expenses and the expense (and difficulty) of dealing with customs- both in the Philippines and upon the packages return to the US.  So we capped the value at $2000.  This is actually more in line with the value of most comics or cards before they are CGC’ed, so it’s accurate for customs.  It also reduces the risk of package inspection (so those inexperienced with handling valuable collectibles will be less likely to paw through the contents).  We are also making certain restrictions as to other items.  Rolled posters, graphic novels, and other large sized and/or heavier items, can still be accepted but-due to the excessive shipping charges they entail-fees will increase accordingly.  Please contact us for details and we apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

General info:  We require a minimum of 40 items for Mike to sign.  Once we reach the minimum of 40, submitters will ship their items in and payment will collected at that time (Venmo, checks or Money Orders, or PayPal – please add 3% for PayPal payments).

We plan on doing additional signings- the only requirement is reaching the 40 item minimum each time.

Regarding items already graded/authenticated by CGC – We are happy to crack open books already graded if you wish (and please note that if they are already Signature Series copies, CGC requires that an authorized facilitator be the one to open them).   That said, if they are already CGC Signature Series, so long as we crack them open before sending them to Mike to be signed, the original autographs will retain their Signature Series status.  So please note that for any SS books that are received and already cracked open, CGC will not honor the authentication of the original autographs.

Please further note regarding already graded books: CGC does not guarantee the same grade.  We are extremely careful with books (and treat every comic as if they were our own) and have opened up many copies of books for re-grading.  Most times, they come back the same grade.  Rarely, they come back a higher grade (but please don’t expect that… in over 20 years of doing this, it’s only happened three times).  But sometimes they come back a lower grade.  Please understand that it is a possibility.

Pen type/color requests:  Mike reserves the right to make the final decision as to what type/color of pen to use when signing.  Thank you for your understanding.

Lastly, in the event Mike is unable to sign the items (natural disaster, illness, etc.), return shipping is the responsibility of the submitter as are any fees for regrading/encapsulating any CGC books removed from their original slab (though, hopefully, if something like that does occur we will know before unslabbing graded books and actually mailing to the Philippines).  Or, best case, before anyone even mails me their items).
