About the artist:
Pop artist Des Taylor’s résumé includes a wide range of retro-style inspired art, including his design of Mezco’s Superman Fleischer Studios-inspired playset, various DC Bombshells variant covers, his own creator-owned comic series’ Scarlett Couture, The Vesha Valentine Story, The Trouble With Katie Rogers, and The Blue Lotus Adventures, as well as artwork for Dr Who and Archie Comics. Other clients include Michael Jackson, Universal Music, DC Entertainment, and Cosmopolitan, among many others. Exhibits of his work include Las Vegas, Paris, and Munich as well as numerous other cities as part of Star Trek’s 50th Anniversary Exhibition, which included Taylor’s TOS-inspired “Logic and Laughs” illustration. He cites John Romita Sr., John Buscema, Neal Adams, and José Luis García-López as early influences, and, after attending art school, Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.
