Released in 1988, this poster was only available through a special mail-in offer to purchasers of The History of the DC Universe hardcover. The book included a special postcard that could be returned to DC in exchange for the poster (facsimiles of the postcard were not accepted). The poster features DC’s most popular characters, each drawn by a single artist, and usually by an artist closely associated with the character. Joe Kubert himself drew the layout/roughs for the piece and then individual artists each took a specific character and completed the piece. The autographs at the bottom of the print are all pre-printed. It is not hand-signed.
The poster measures approximately 30 inches wide by 15 inches high and is in excellent condition (some minor wear to the edge and a very small corner tear bottom left corner but framing would hide all of the condition issues). A stock photo is used as the gallery icon image and I’ve included three close-up scans of the actual item for greater detail. Extremely difficult to find!
