1993 TOS Star Trek VHS Exclusive SkyBox Card ~ City on the Edge of Forever

I do insist that you do survive because the days and the years ahead are worth living for. One day soon man is going to be able to harness incredible energies, maybe even the atom. Energies that could ultimately hurl us to other worlds in some sort of spaceship. And the men that reach out into space will be able to find ways to feed the hungry millions of the world and to cure their diseases. They will be able to find a way to give each man hope and a common future, and those are the days worth living for. Edith Keeler

In 1993, Paramount re-released the entire Original Series to VHS.  The initial manufacturing run of these videotapes, denoted by a pink sticker on the front of the VHS box, included a limited edition Star Trek trading card from Skybox.  Given that the tapes retailed from $9.95 to $14.95, to put together an entire set would have cost you roughly $800 to $1,200 if you bought all the tapes.  This card is one of those cards and features a scene from the classic episode “The City on the Edge of Forever,” written by Harlen Ellison.  Card is in fair condition with mild corner and edge wear.  Please note – given that there was no protection for the card when inserted into the package, it’s very difficult to find the cards in nm/mint condition.  Card still looks nice overall and will be shipped with the utmost care.
